excelsior springs
a couple weekends ago on a beautiful saturday, I took a drive about a half hour outside kansas city to the town of excelsior springs. back in the day people flocked there to experience the reputed healing properties of the water from the 20 springs the city was founded on. in 1935 a one million dollar federal works administration project built the hall of waters which included the worlds longest water bar. things have changed quite a bit between then & now but the hall & water bar are still there...
in addition to touring the hall of waters I walked all over town, ate a cheeseburger at Rays, went to an antique mall & a couple thrift stores...
it was a very nice day :)
